First of all, confirm it’s not an emergency

First of all, make sure your issue isn’t life-threatening. If it is then you should immediately call 999.

If you don’t think your issue is life-threating please also make sure it’s not one of the following:

  • A sign of a heart attack. This includes chest pain, pressure, heaviness, tightness or squeezing.
  • A sign of a stroke. This includes a drooping face, not being able to hold up your arms and difficulty speaking.
  • Sudden confusion or delirium. For example if you’re unsure of your own name or age.
  • Any suicide attempt.
  • Difficulty Breathing. Including choking and gasping.
  • Heavy bleeding. If it’s spraying, pouring or enough to make a puddle.
  • A seizure or fit. If they’re shaking, jerking or cannot be woken up.
  • Sudden rapid swelling of the lips, mouth, throat or tongue.

If you have any of the above issues immediately call 999.

Urgent Appointments

If you have an issue that needs urgent attention you can call-in when we open in the morning. Your request will be reviewed by a doctor and you will be contacted by a receptionist on the same day with an appointment. If all our urgent appointments have been taken we may ask you to call 111.

Changing or cancelling an appointment

To cancel an appointment please give us a call. You will be given an option to leave a message to cancel your appointment or to speak to one of our receptionists. If you prefer you can also visit the surgery in person.

Home visits

We provide home visits for our patients that are housebound or if it would be unsafe for them to come into the surgery. Please note the criteria for getting a home visit is very strict.

Request a home visit by giving us a phone call or in person. The receptionist will forward your request to our team of paramedics who will phone you to gather some information and confirm the details of the visit.
